About Us
Pollux is one of many circumpolar stars that sit on the horizon and never rise or set. This is how we at Pollux Journal understand language—constantly present but distinct objects that can be connected into constellations. These constellations tell a story different from what could be expressed within the confines of a single language, as they draw from a larger array of cultures, people, mindsets, and ultimately, emotions. We are interested in multilinguality, the coexistence of two or more languages. Pollux Journal seeks to be home both to work that are multilingual themselves (written in two or more languages, including English) or centered around multilinguality (work in English that is about being or learning to become multilingual).
